The Rittenhouse single barrel program is brand new for Heaven Hill Distillery, and we were glad to be included in the inaugural round of barrels.
This single barrel takes the classic Rittenhouse profile to new heights with flavors of peach pie, fresh rye bread, white pepper and baking spices. Mouthfeel is well-rounded with good solid heat coming from its 100 proof.
This is a great rye whiskey that could easily be used in a Manhattan or served neat.
