BACKGROUND
"The Curious Journey of a Curious Mind. It takes an inquisitive, pioneering spirit to produce the most remarkable results. Throughout the years PJ Rigney has taken many journeys from familiar into terra incognita. In time, those travels brought him to the wild and unspoiled landscape of Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim. It was here that his curious mind, filled with the great oriental traditions of distilling fruit, herbs and botanicals, got to work. He created The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney, with its medieval copper pot stills, and began a quest to fuse oriental botanicals with the local Irish ones. The result of this passionate exploration is Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin unique, extraordinary and remarkable as the elusive creature in the fields, the Drumshanbo Jackalope.PJs adventures led him to the sun-kissed western coast of the United States of America, where his Curious Mind was drawn north of San Francisco Bay. The local people introduced him to the sumptuous richness of orange citrus fruit. PJ recognised immediately how this bright and colourful burst of fresh California orange citrus would meld into the existing exotic layers of fresh citrus, giving birth to an authentic American edition."
