Alpe Genepy

Pretty florals and fruits on the nose, orange peel and fresh spearmint. The palate is almost silky with the mixture of fresh herbs and citrus, and the mint-iness coming again on the finish. Missing the honey notes found in yellow chartreuse, but otherwise a good substitute. D&M Tasting Notes

Primary Botanicals: Genepy (Artemisia spicata, Artemisia sutellina), angelica, true cinnamon, oregano, lemon balm, mint. Genepy, local for Artemisia, a type of wormwood in the same plant family as Absinthe. Grown over 2000M in the Aosta Valley, picked, dried, and infused together with other botanicals in grain alcohol. Part is then distilled to give the liqueur a more persistent flavor and clarify the natural color.
